In an effort to increase student achievement, students will be acknowledged for meeting AR Goals each nine weeks. This is a recognition in addition to recognizing students for most points earned in a school year and overall points for point clubs. Beginning January 10, 2012, students will begin working to achieve this recognition. Students meeting ALL THREE GOALS will receive this recognition at the end of the nine week period. The three goals the students must achieve for this goal recognition are:
(1) All students will have a goal of at least 85% average correct on quizzes taken each nine weeks. To meet this goal, students must get an average of 85% or better correct on quizzes taken.
(2) An individual minimum number of earned points goal will be assigned to the students each nine weeks. Students must meet or exceed their assigned goal points each nine weeks. The number for this goal is obtained from a chart provided by Renaissance Place, using the results of each students STAR Reading test.
(3) An individual goal of the minimum book level will be assigned to students each nine weeks. This number is obtained from each students' ZPD (Reading Range) assigned to students using current data from the STAR Reading test. Students will meet this goal by reading books at or above this book level goal each nine weeks.
