Watch D.O.G.S, a K-12 program invites fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father figures to volunteer at least one day the whole day at their child’s/students school during the school year. People sign up at a kick-off event such as a “Dads and Kids Pizza Night” or “Dad’s and Doughnuts” or in the office at any time throughout the school year. Watch D.O.G.S have lots of task to do while doing there volunteer job including monitoring the schools entrance, monitoring the lunch room, or helping in the classroom with a teacher's guidance by working with small groups of students on homework, flashcards, or spelling.
The fun part about Watch D.O.G.S is that in ALL PRO DADS we talk about it. How can your father can become a watch dog? I am sure you can get information from the internet on fathers.com and people at your school. Mr. Prentice Johnson, Mr. Michael Bell, Mr. Keith Braswell, Mr. Rudy Deveauv, Mr. Jermaine Jenkins, Mr. Gerald Smith, and Kelvin Ramirez have already joined this wonderful program.
You’re not a good dad because you’re a Watch D.O.G. You’re a Watch D.O.G because you’re a good dad. So kids ask your day or father figure to volunteer at your school and help all the students. Your fathers can help the teachers, too. I think you and your dad like this. I you do ask him if he will be a Watch D.O.G.
