Student Council

    Student council is where students signed up to run for secretary, president, vice president, parliamentary, treasurer and much, much more! All these students will compete against each other to win. They made 2 posters. Ms.Smith would help you find a place to put it for everyone to see it. They also have to make a speech to perform on two days, October 25 and 26. People will be voting on who they want to be elected on October 28, 2010.                 

    Your poster should have a recent picture of you. Some people use school pictures from about 2 years ago, but others use pictures from about 3 months ago. But, it doesn’t matter how old the picture is, just make should it looks like you now. It should have your name and what you’re running for. Your speech shouldn’t be over 3 minutes but, not under 2 minutes. The posters are displayed in the lunchroom. If you are thinking about running for an office and you don’t really know what the poster should look like, just go to the lunchroom and look at all the other ones.

Before the day you vote, you should visit the lunchroom or kindergarten hallway just to see who will be the best choice. You should NOT just vote for any one, like your friends. You should listen their speeches and then decide who you want to vote for.
