Spotlight Teacher: Ms. Grizzle

Some of you may not even know who Ms. Grizzle is, but she’s a 5^th grade teacher in the first trailer. Also she’s the kindest, nicest, busiest, and funniest lady that you will ever meet! I asked her several questions and you will be the first to hear about it!

“What made you become a teacher?” I asked first. Then Mrs.Grizzle said”Well, I think it was my love for kids and passion for making them successful citizens.” I think that all kids with teachers ask the question: How long have you been a teacher for 5^th grade and have you taught any other grades? Mrs. Grizzle responded “Well, no, I have not taught any other grades and I’ve been teaching 5^th grade for 5 years.”

            I also wanted to know more about her job.”Do you enjoy teaching?” I asked.”Yes! I love it! I love to see students have an “ah ha” moment!” she said joyfully. Then I asked, “If you could have any job in the world, what job would you get and why?” “Besides teaching, I would like to start a non-profit organization to help less fortunate families with kids.” She said.

Then for the last question, I wanted it to be a very good question. So I it asked her,” If you could change anything about how you teach, what would you change?” “Yes, I would change some things around. The first thing I would change is the salary for teachers and elimate furlough days. Also I would somehow make teachers more accountable for their teaching practice.”

If you see Ms. Grizzle in the hallway, even if you don’t know her, just give her a smile and she’ll give one right back.
