WELCOME to an exciting new school year. The Executive Board of the PTA has been preparing for and looking forward to the 2009 –2010 school year. Our theme for the year is Families, School, Community - We Are All On The Same Team... EXPECTING SUCCESS.
The Harmony Leland PTA is a volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the learning experience of our children at home and at school. We will promote programs that enrich and excite our children, support the efforts of our parents and teachers and strive to create an environment that fosters effective communication and cooperation between the home, school, and community.
HLES PTA 2009-2010 Goals
- Increase parent involvement by instituting the three4me pledge program, inviting all dads to the All Pro Dad club and encouraging their membership in the PTA.
- Supporting student academic success by increasing grade level donations and continuing to fund the Artist-In-Residence, Accelerated Reader efforts and the Science Fair.
- Improve communication to all parents by sending emails to all parents (not just PTA members), translating all documents into Spanish, utilizing Calling Post for events, and utilizing Stickers for events.
